Pay attention to these signs if you suspect someone is lying:
They leave out important details
Liars spend so much energy suppressing external signs of deception that they often forget about details. If you suspect someone, tell them you weren’t paying attention and ask them to repeat the story—this time in reverse order. Chances are, they’ll miss crucial details or even tell a completely different version.
Body language
If they avoid eye contact, constantly check their phone, shift their gaze around, or bite their nails, it’s a sign of nervousness. Either they’re lying, or they’ve got serious social anxiety.
Voice changes
If their voice cracks or trembles — they’re probably lying.
